Our Instructors.

Kathleen Kathleen discovered indoor rowing classes when she was suffering from an achilles tendon injury a few years ago. Ever since she´s been rowing, either on indoor rowing machines or in wooden boats in the summer. In addition to rowing Kathleen enjoys rock climbing and road cycling.

Hi, I´m Niko Raami and I take the Friday afternoon indoor rowing class. I´m the youngest of the regular instructors (22 right now), but don´t let my young age put you off! All ages are welcome at my classes.

I´ve been rowing since 2011 and working as an indoor rowing instructor since 2015. During the summer I row Olympic class in all the different boat sizes and also in Tako´s long boat team. During the winter you´re likely to find me training in the evenings at the rowing centre.

BödeBöde was brought up in a family of rowers and has been rowing since childhood. His uncle was an Olympic medalist winning bronze medals at the Melboure Olympics in 1956 and the Rome Olympics in 1960. Rowing has played a huge role in Böde´s life – in olympic class boats, wooden boats and on indoor rowing machines! He has been working as an indoor rowing classes instructor since 2004. Böde has also been chairman of the board of Takon soutajat rowing club for many years.

We also have a team of reserve instructors who may step in to cover if the regular instructor can´t make it.
